Special Event Tomorrow Night
ANARCHA PROJECT: Collaborative Lecture
Wed. March 14 7-9 pm
285 Kroeber Hall
Black Culture and disability culture activists use performance methods to address the memory of experimentation on slave women in Montgomery, Alabama in the 1840s. Theatre, dance and poetry make connections to public secrets, women's bodies, the persistence of pain, racialized medical histories, health care inequalities, and survival.
Anita Gonzales (theatre arts), Tiye Giraud (vocalist/percussionist/composer), Carrie Sandahl (activist/scholar), Petra Kuppers (activist/scholar)
